The Archives: Paris By Night Earrings!

I am excited to model these lovely Paris By Night earrings by Avon! These vintage looking earrings are now my favorite! These silverstone Paris inspired earrings are so sophisticated, chic, and very unique. When I first wore these earrings, I was wearing a simple outfit. I didn't really needed any other jewelry, because it gave my outfit just that perfect touch of sparkle.

Now the fun doesn't end there! Avon made Paris By Night a whole collection of jewelry: earrings, necklaces and rings! You can always wear any of these beauties and take Paris with you any where you go.

Aren't these earrings retrochic perfect? I am in love with my new earrings! These earrings can be yours also. And they are now for sale on My Avon website shop page! If you have any questions about these gorgeous earrings feel free to contact me anytime.

O la la, Paris!

The Archives: Look Mom, No Makeup!

Most of the time, believe it or not, I don't wear makeup. Don't get me wrong, I do love makeup and I do love getting all dolled up and ready to hit town. After all I am a girl! Though most of the time when I am home, I love the feeling of having a clean face. You know that feeling when after having a long day and you take that cool shower and feel your skin coming alive again.

There is more behind that clean feeling whenever I remove my makeup. I get a sense of freedom, a sense of serenity, of being in peace with my own skin. For many women though makeup becomes their safety blanket. I was amazed of how many times I have heard of wives not letting their husbands see them without their makeup. And all I can think of that do men really care? If our husband married us, was it because our makeup? Or was it because of who we are as a person, that made them fall in love with us?

R
ecently I saw a documentary of Marilyn Monroe in which they mentioned that when she wasn't working that she loved going out to town without any makeup. Marilyn Monroe became that glamours image that Hollywood wanted. Though for Norma Jean, they were times that she craved to be that girl next door. That girl that many man would like to talk to, without being intimated by her. That girl that was in tuned with herself.

I love being home and being the girl next door!

And even when I do get all dolled up, I want to still be that girl!

Have a great makeup-free weekend!

The Archives: Updating My Caboodle

The other day as I was applying my makeup, I couldn't find my lipstick pencil and my eye brush. I threw a "Miss Piggy" fit as I dug through my makeup bag looking for these lost items. And what made things worst, was that I was running late for my evening appointment! After that incident, I knew that it was time to replace my old makeup bag.

A
few weeks ago as I was shopping for some skin care. I was suddenly mesmerize by these lovely makeup cases. You see back many years ago when the famous "Caboodles" makeup cases came out, I like any other girl bought one for myself. My Caboodle has round corners, it's purple, and made out of plastic. Back then it served it's purpose as it fitted well with my age.

N
ow that I am a more sophisticated woman that is approaching a more mature age. I think that it's about time for me to get a makeup case that fits my glamours needs. At the same time, I wanted to find a makeup case that would still be stylish. It doesn't mean because I am older that I have to buy a brown-boring-grandma-looking makeup case. Wouldn't you agree?

Now the second step will be to choose the right Caboodle for me. Also I want to make sure that my Caboodle to-be, would look great in my Paris room. As you have seen in my photo shoots my Paris room main wall colors are golden yellow. Miss Vanity is in light yellow pearl color and my curtains as well as my futon cover are in a light golden green color. My dresser is in black and my wardrobe closet is brown.

Too bad that I can't buy all of these Caboodles. I could use them for organizers! I do need to makeup my mind (no pun intended), as to which of these cases will be coming home with me.

So far, out of all of these Caboodles that are in these pictures, my favorite is the black lacy one! I love lace and black goes with everything. I believe that this one will be with me for many more makeup years to come!

Did I mentioned that I also have to replace my mascara. Oh brother! I am never going to finish replacing everything that needs to be replaced!

Happy Friday!

P.S. As you probably were wondering what I have done with my old purple Caboodle. Well, that is where I perfectly keep my sewing supplies, like my threads and needles.
